For years, I taught Interior Design at the university level. As an interior designer, artist, and educator with a PhD in education, I’ve spent my career studying not only what makes a room beautiful, but how to teach others to see and understand design.
Now I’m bringing those worlds together in the Lori Brunner Interior Design Academy.
This isn’t about copying a beautiful room from Pinterest or following a list of decorating rules.
It’s about learning how designers think—how we make decisions about color, scale, proportion, furniture, art, lighting, materials, and the details that transform a room from simply decorated to beautifully considered.

We’ll look at real rooms and member-submitted photographs together, discussing what’s working, what may feel “off,” and the changes that can make the greatest difference. You’ll learn not only from your own home, but by seeing how design principles apply to other spaces as well.

A single private interior design consultation can cost considerably more than a month inside the Academy.
The Academy gives you ongoing access to professional design education, live conversation, Q&A, room analysis, and a growing library of resources—for $97 per month as a Founding Member.
You don’t need to redesign your entire house. You might be working on one room, choosing art, reconsidering a color palette, shopping for furniture—or simply wanting to understand design on a deeper level.

Our first Academy live sessions begin in mid-October and you can explore the Academy online platform immediately. I’ve created several spaces that you can explore on your own. Upload photos of your own home for feedback. Get to know others in the Academy community. Explore the Founding Members lounge. All in the comfort of your own home.
